What is Empathy?

Empathy refers to the cognitive and emotional reaction to an experience. It is the ability to imagine another person’s emotional experience along with the ability to imagine what another person might be thinking or feeling. Having empathy increases a person’s likelihood of helping others and demonstrating compassion.

What will children learn?

In this skill, students will immerse themselves in Empathy through the active exploration of emotions and its impact on the self and others. They learn how to identify their feelings, sincerely listen whilst connecting with others and the difference between empathy and sympathy.
