Who we are

We are a community made up of qualified teachers, international school directors, Heads of School, psychologists, CEOs and like-minded students and parents.

Our team is a group of highly skilled classroom practitioners with over 40 years of teaching experience within the UK and international schools globally.

21 Skills Hub provides a holistic and engaging curriculum that inspires students to learn the essential skills that accelerate meaningful and sustainable success in the 21st century.

What our lessons contain:

• Comprehensive, effective and beautifully designed lesson plans

  Our lessons are designed by teachers for teachers. They have been critiqued by colleagues and head teachers from around the world to ensure they flow well, make sense and most importantly are effective.

• A hook

All teachers know the key to a great lesson is a captivating hook. Therefore we start with a hook in each lesson to grab the attention of our students and let the magic flow from there!

• Adaptive learning (differentiation) 

At 21 Skills Hub we believe in inclusivity and so all plans contain differentiated activities to help maximise the progress for all students. 

• Inquiry based learning

Students enjoy a student-centered, engaging approach to the discovery and exploration of this skill.

• Cross-curricular

Each lesson has cross-curricular links as well as links to national objectives/standards allowing for seamless integration into your daily curriculum.

Teachers hub

• Each lesson contains a page dedicated to helping the teachers get a heads up on the content, access useful links and and feel inspired before they step into the classroom.

Our lessons come fully stacked with accompanying lesson resources such as powerpoint presentations, worksheets and material lists. Also keep an eye out for bonus assembly PowerPoints!

What is Empathy

Empathy refers to the cognitive and emotional reaction to an experience. It is the ability to imagine another person’s emotional experience along with the ability to imagine what another person might be thinking or feeling. Having empathy increases a person’s likelihood of helping others and demonstrating compassion.

What will children learn?

In this skill, students will immerse themselves in Empathy through the active exploration of emotions and its impact on the self and others. They learn how to identify their feelings, sincerely listen whilst connecting with others and the difference between empathy and sympathy.

This lesson pack includes 2 lesson plans on Empathy with resources & PowerPoint presentation for KS1 & KS2, as well as our 21 Skills Hub poster.
