Title: Exploring dyslexia and using outdoor spaces to support children. 

Audience: Teachers, and TA’s

Description:

What is dyslexia and what are the main barriers to learning?Practitioners will have an overview of what dyslexia is and how using the outdoor learning environment can help unlock the true potential of learners with dyslexia. 

Practitioners will receive practical ideas on how to use the outdoor environment in a range of different activities to support literacy learning. 

All participants will receive a certificate of completion.

About your trainer Annie Burnett

With experience being a primary school teacher for 20 years and a SENCO, Annie now runs her own business as a dyslexia specialist teacher offering tutoring and diagnostic assessments.  Through her work with children, parents and school, the self-esteem and building upon a child’s strengths are always her priority. Annie is working in partnership with Teach Outdoors to offer specialist support, advice and outdoor interventions for learners with dyslexia.
