Early Years is changing… are you ready?
The Early Years Foundation Stage framework, a statutory document we must use in all early years settings, has been reformed and the new framework will become mandatory from September 2021.
In this course, I will take you through the changes that have been made to the framework, as well as the supporting non-statutory documents, ‘Development Matters 2021’ and ‘Birth to 5 Matters 2021’.
From changes to the content of both prime and specific areas, to the way we assess and safeguard the children in our care, I will highlight the reforms which you will need to take into account when preparing for the 2021/22 academic year. Take a sneak peak by watching the introduction below:
Objectives of this course:
- To understand the changes that have been made to the EYFS framework and how this may affect your setting and its pupils
- To consider any changes that need to be made/planned for in your setting due to these reforms
- To understand how new non-statutory guidance can be used to support the framework
- To continue your professional development by discussing with colleagues and using the tasks provided
