Messy Play Matters – EYFS

In this session we will discuss. How sensory based activities link directly to the EYFS. We will look new edible activity ideas and how we can promote inclusion environments for all. We will discuss the Science behind why we do messy sensory play, benefits of sensory based play and learning and how sensory learning stimulates our senses and nerve connections.

We will consider the benefits for children with sen and complex needs, how to create a low cost sensory environment and how to maximise the space you have.

We will also be looking at sensory processing difficulties and who may suffer with these more and show you how to adapt resources catering for food allergies. And much much more!

  • Showing you some great edible resources for you to use, such as edible frogs spawn, edible string etc!

Louise has 25 years of training and experience in childcare, education, health and social care. She is a sensory specialist for all individuals from birth right through to the elderly. Within her company she sees around 140 individuals a week. She also specialises in autism, learning disabilities, complex health care needs, SEMH and dementia.
