Balance for Teachers supports overworked primary school middle leaders to put themselves first, guilt-free so they can be more productive, calmer, and present both in the classroom and at home.

A racing mind can be difficult to switch off. Not just mentally but physically too. When the body has been under chronic stress, for 4 weeks or more, finding balance goes beyond mindfulness.

Here at Balance for Teachers, we provide coping strategies for the mind whilst we heal the body to end the vicious cycle of anxiety and burnout. The Balance Strategy™ is a practical strategy that can be implemented in less than 30 seconds to calm the mind and feel more confident. It allows teachers to set and stick to boundaries to enjoy life outside work and fall in love with teaching again. Creating a guilt-free work-life balance is a great place to start in healing the body.

I’m Annabel. A work-life balance coach from London. Years ago I would write a to-do list as long as my arm & kick myself each day when I didn’t get through it. I would put in the extra hours yet I always felt like I was chasing. Enough was enough when I was hospitalised with burnout. I was so focused on getting things right that my life was a constant cycle of ‘all or nothing’. I felt like no matter what I did I was never enough. As soon as I felt like I was getting on top of things something else would be added to my workload.

I have discovered a strategy that is effective immediately and can be used anywhere and at any time. I not only use this myself but I have been successfully using this strategy with clients for over 5 years.

Once I had a handle on my daily stress I began to heal my gut health through nutritional support and improving my sleep. It took me 10 years to get from burnout to balance but our programs now help others to achieve the same results in less than a year. Now more than ever teachers are at risk of leaving the profession due to burnout when the next generation needs them the most. To not only show up but to model what taking care of yourself and inspiring others really looks like.
