This course explores what mental health is and how some condition may present; what some of the protective and risk factors are; and why it’s so important to address in school.

As experienced Special Educational Needs educators and leaders, we will give you a real perspective of what it’s like to live with a mental health condition and will provide you with strategies to support children with a diagnosis or who present with traits of.

  • To know what ‘mental health’ means and why it’s important to address in school.​

  • To know the protective and risk factors that can impact mental health.​

  • To have some practical ideas to support children’s mental health: as a school, in a class and individually.​
